Saturday Super $ALE

began in April 2012 as a means to support the entrepreneurial spirit of people with disabilities in our community.  People with disabilities are often not afforded equal employment opportunities and begin micro-enterprise businesses and sell hand crafted items including ceramics, paintings, jewelry, t-shirts and hats.

There are few affordable opportunities for these artisans to sell their creations to the community and those are generally provided by disability service provider agencies.  This limits the goal of having a micro-enterprise provide a valued identity in the community at large. Saturday Super $ALE provides an inclusive community setting to showcase the abilities and self-determination of people with disabilities.

We are seeking partners who share our commitment to support people with disabilities who can and want to become productive members of society.

Anyone and everyone in Michigan
is invited to show and sell their products or promote their micro-enterprise business.  Tables available for August 24.

This is the first of five newsletters for vendors on how to improve your business.  It is hoped this information will help you have a more successful business and have good sales at Saturday Super SALE August 24, 2013 at Laurel Park Place Mall in Livonia.

MARKETING YOUR BUSINESS

NAMING YOUR BUSINESS

Every business needs a name and the choice you make about how to name yourself is important.  It's hard to change your name once you are established.  Teddy's T's sells t-shirts.  What do you think Teddy's Gifts, sells or Teddy's Business Emporium?
  • Pick a a name people can remember
  • should tell something about your business
  • Should be as unique as possible

Before you choose a name, Google it.  If there are hundreds of businesses with same name, and in Michigan not a good choice.  If only a few with that name and none in Michigan check out the websites.  You may get associated with or
 mistaken for same name company.

State of Michigan name availability search:
http://www.2dleg.state.mi.us/CORPORATIONS

BUSINESS CARDS

No matter how small your business needs business cards. If someone sees you at Laurel Park Place Mall  Saturday Super SALE and doesn't buy anything, but changes their mind, how they can contact you?  Everyone you meet and greet should get a business card.  Everyone you visits your table should get a business card.
Every customer that makes a purchase should get a business cards.

  • Free or low cost business cards from Vista Print
  • Avery templates you can print yourself
  • FREE BUSINESS CARDS reserve table for $99 before July 15
  • Low cost effective advertising

SIGNAGE

Your table needs a sign, what is your business name?  What is the name of person or people who will run table?  What do you sell?

WEBSITE

Everyone needs a website.  Even if you only have contact information and a photo of one of your products.  People don't use phone books, they look up on internet.  You can have a simple or elaborate website.

All registered vendors for August 24 can have their name linked on website:
www.SaturdaySuperSALE.com/your.name.here

EMAIL ADDRESS

Use the email address associated with your website or business name. TeddysTs.com has the email: sales@TeddysTs.com and
                  Susan@TeddysTs.com
The more people that see your business name the better. Advertisers pay millions of dollars to promote their name brand.

SOCIAL MEDIA

Once you choose your business name and get domain name registered, you need to set up for social media networking.  Register as a business on Facebook, Twitter, Linked-In, Pinterest and every other social medial.  Maybe you could write a blog on something you know or your products.
